A reason for education does not end the questioning

If someone wants money to improve education, does that make the desire less greedy? Early in Happiness Kingdom, Unit E, that justification meets further questions. A respondent explains what the money would be used for; the discussion returns to wanting more. Can a proposed use change the judgement of a desire? Giving a reason does not bring this theatrical exchange to a close.[V1]

This public chapter, approximately 9 minutes 26 seconds long, preserves an exchange that its public release description associates with an activity in Wangjing, Beijing, on 22 July 2023. Black curtains, red and green lighting, and people conversing on the floor form a space of close proximity. The Trial of the Shit Family is the activity's theatrical premise, not a real judicial proceeding or an accusation made by this library against anyone.[S1][V1]

Bending forward with a rod: from speech to bodily action

In one image from the middle passage, a participant bends forward in red light, holding a rod-like object with its end directed towards the floor. Others sit nearby.[V1]

Read alongside the earlier questions, the posture invites attention to how verbal judgement becomes bodily action, and how those watching share a small space with the person acting. Posture, questioning and watching together offer connected ways of reading this passage.

From an educational path to running a noodle shop

Later, another choice is proposed: opening a beef-noodle shop. The discussion turns to beef, making broth, whether the business can make money, and operating costs. A judgement about education becomes a livelihood proposal that can be questioned detail by detail. Once another path is suggested, how would it actually work?[V1]

The noodle-shop turn makes the exchange concrete. The respondent must address practical details as well as state a choice. The turn leaves a practical question: how does a proposed choice become an arrangement whose details can be discussed?

How the activity invited participation

Published on 19 July, the recruitment notice lists a person's capacities to breathe, sense and move, then makes continued dissatisfaction part of its theatrical accusation. It invites participants to conduct a trial and make a creature by hand that could eliminate the theatrical object of that trial. The notice announces 19:00 on 22 July in Wangjing, Beijing, free admission and a limit of eight people. These are participation rules and plans, not proof of actual attendance or completion of every task.[S1]

Unit E preserves one exchange within the activity, not the whole event. Who asks, who responds and who acts are positions a viewer can observe here. Without reliable identity evidence, the people on screen are not assigned names or fixed duties. This chapter cannot establish whether the announced making task was completed.[V1]

Continuing through the chapter

Together, these scenes preserve a process in which judgements are proposed, reasons are offered, and those responses meet further scrutiny. Follow how the questions change: from a use for money, to bodily action, to the practical conditions behind a bowl of noodles.[V1]

The public release description reports about 4 minutes 14 seconds of unrecorded event time before this chapter, with dialogue already underway at both ends. The chapter therefore cannot be treated as the direct outcome of a one-minute thinking instruction in another segment, nor can its ending establish a final verdict for the event. The full-chapter link preserves the order of this exchange. Scene boundaries remain unverified, so this page supplies no exact-time links.[V1]
